Editorial work

I offer editorial and proofreading services to publishers. I have experience working as an English-language editor for ZEIT SPRACHEN, an educational magazine publisher, based in Germany. I also work as a freelance textbook proofreader and audio script editor for Newgen Publishing UK, an educational publisher in the UK. I am familiar with both AQA and Edexcel specifications.

Audio production

Audio production for the education sector: I have experience editing and producing audio products for EFL products. I am the audio editor of Business Spotlight Audio, an educational audio product that comes out on a monthly basis. I am responsible for the timely coordination of recordings, scripting and content curation.
Script editing: I create new versions of scripts based upon editors’ requirements in the education sector.

Materials

I have been writing educational materials for 6+ years. I am familiar with various educational materials for language-learning purposes, including audio scripts, language exercises, film guides and graded articles. I have written four educational guides for ZigZag Education and have been scripting Business Spotlight Audio (ZEIT SPRACHEN) since 2022.

It’s been a pleasure to work with Melita on the GCSE German project we’re managing for Pearson. She has been a consistently thorough and reliable contributor, and has worked with skill and positivity in the face of some complex briefs for audio script creation and other editorial tasks. This and her willingness to meet challenging deadlines have been much appreciated by the Newgen team. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for language-based commissions.
